Oceanographic Institution, Inc. is a not-for-profit research institution
employing nearly 300 marine researchers, engineers, and ship submersible
crews to carry out research in marine biomedical areas, marine science and
biology, and marine engineering. Harbor Branch's main 500-acre campus near
Fort Pierce, Florida is home to three ships, three submersibles and one of
the largest facilities of its kind in the world.
